Preparing for your advising appointment
Jessica Cardinal is the professional advisor for Environmental Sciences majors. We're located in Cordley 2046. We can help you select classes, choose a specialization, set up an internship, and make sure that you're on track for graduation. We will also assign you a faculty advisor when you choose your specialization who can help you with specific questions about that aspect of your coursework.
All students are required to meet with their general advisor (Jessica) at least once a year in the spring, but you can make an appointment to see your advisor at any time.
To get the most out of your advising appointment, follow these steps:
- Print off a copy of the Environmental Sciences checklist and of your Specialization checklist and fill them out with the courses you've already completed.
- Print off a copy of the Year Plan and fill it out as best you can.
- Make a list of any questions you have.
- Set up an appointment by calling our office at 737-2404.
- Bring copies of your checklists and your year plan when you meet with your advisor!
- Keep a file with all of your checklists, year plans, and any email correspondence with your advisors.
