Where do I get my PIN number

New PINs (personal identification numbers) are given out each spring for fall term registration. Your PIN # is good for the next year (fall, winter, spring). Hang on to it!

You must make an appointment with your advisor to get your PIN #. The Registrar and the Environmental Sciences Office will not give you your PIN # before the first day of classes in the fall or if you have not registered at OSU. YOU NEED TO MEET WITH AN ADVISOR AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR!

You will need your PIN# for the first time that you register for classes each term. After your initial registration, the system will not require you to enter your PIN# to make changes. However, you will need your PIN # each time you register for a new term. If you lose your PIN # after the first day of fall term, TAKE YOUR ID to the Registrar's Office (located in Kerr Administration Building) or the COS Dean's Office and they will give you your PIN #.

Note: Avoid the spring term advising crunch and be the first on the block to register!

Students who meet with their advisors at the beginning of spring term will be given a 'PIN coupon' which they can redeem for their PIN as soon as they become available for fall term registration. That way you don't have to wait for an available appointment during the busiest time of the year.
